"So how the hell are we going to do this?" Acondo asked. "I don't know, Acondo!" Acondo's cousin, Anna replied impatiently, "it's your job." "Oh come on," Acondo said, "you have to know something." "Well, I don't," Anna snapped, "I'm a half-breed, yes, I'm not the cleanest one in our family, I know, but I don't know EVERYTHING the vampires do." Acondo sighed and starting pacing. She didn't come here to leave empty handed. Acondo had come here to London to kill a vampire named Valeria, she was the reason for the 'Vampire Epidemic'.If she killed her then maybe Acondo could thin out the pack that she had. It won't be easy, though. Vampires are strong and highly intelligent for walking corpses. "Acondo," Anna's sister Andrea said softly, "You can't just go out there and think you can kill a master vampire." Have they lost their backbones?!, Acondo thought, Have they forgot their Transylvanian blood?!Acondo looked at her, "Unlike you," she said, "I still have the Transylvanian strength that I came to this place with." "Acondo!" Andrea cried, "you're not like Anna Volarious you can't just go out there and fight! Even Anna Volarious had help!" "Yes, but you forget," Acondo countered, "I've been traveling around Scotland, England, and Wales ALONE for 7 years killing these beings." "May I say something?" The third sister, Sophia spoke up, "I understand you want to rid the world these monsters after your parents' death, but Andre' is right you can't do it alone." Acondo looked at the three well-dressed women. They wouldn't dare to be seen wearing the black riding clothes Acondo wore, they wouldn't dare wearing the long red and black trench coat she wore, and they wouldn't dare putting their their beautiful waved black hair into an unruly ponytail. They just wouldn't dare doing what she did, period. "I'll never take your advice, you know that," Acondo finally spoke, "unless one of you are willing to dress up like me and go with me." No one said a word. "Oh, right," Acondo continued, "you three want to become fine English women, not keep any of your Transylvanian ancestry. All we are to these people are nuisance immigrants trying to steal their businesses and country!" The girls looked shocked. Acondo looked out the window at the snow covered London street. "It's getting dark," Acondo said, "I best be getting to the cemetery before the gates close."
Acondo walked around the London Cemetery. Van Helsing would be proud, Acondo thought. Van Helsing was one of her trainers when she enrolled into the NightStalker Academy. He was one of her best friends, but now she works alone. Acondo heard a soft hiss behind her. She turned around. in front of her stood a blonde haired woman with fiery turquoise eyes. Valeria,Acondo though darkly. "You're a beautiful one," Valeria said softly, seductively. "I am when I want to be," Acondo said, "but today is not thee day." Valeria walked towards Acondo. Acondo immediately pulled out her crucifix, Valeria backed away. "Your night ends here." Acondo said. "I don't think so." Valeria hissed. She hit Acondo and knocked her to the ground, she made a demonic noise. Acondo looked up at the fang bearing woman. "Brilliant!" Acondo said, "but there is one thing apparently you don't notice-" Acondo jumped up and and drove her silver-plated sword into Valeria's heart. "I'm from Transylvania, I've grown up with your kind." Acondo shoved the sword deeper into Valeria's chest. Valeria make this agonized gurgling sound. She made a vampiric cry and turned to ash. It was all over. Acondo looked up at the sky. She heard Big Ben toll 5 o'clock. Acondo smiled to herself, the first part of her work was done. Tomorrow she will kill the rest of the vampires.
After lunch Acondo made her way back to London Cemetery. She waited until the funeral procession was finished, then she looked around for the marked gravestones. One by one Acondo found, dug up, and killed the vampires. It was bloody work, and she hoped she wouldn't run in to anyone. Here in London immigrants are most treated like shit by men especially Romanians. They just don't like the old fashioned way of them. That's why Acondo moved to Edinburgh. The people there treat everyone the same. Interesting how cities ruled by the same monarch are so different.
When Acondo walked into the house Anna scoffed at her appearance. "Shut up," Acondo said annoyed, "I'm going to take a bath, and you're going to wash my clothes." "I most certainly am not!" Anna said. Acondo looked at Anna darkly, and Anna gave in.
Acondo laid her head back. The hot bath water soothed her. Acondo couldn't wait until tomorrow. She was going home tomorrow. Back to her small one-room apartment in the Scottish city, back to the place where everyone was treated the same, and where her mind could be free of the thought of vampires, werewolves, and daemons. She could be a normal person in Edinburgh. Unlike here where she was just a Romanian immigrant. Acondo's mind wandered and she lost track of time. She was awakened by Anna pounding on the door.
Acondo walked down stairs the next morning ready to go back home. But the excitement was short-lived. Andrea gave Acondo a letter from one of her relatives in Transylvania. It said:
July 26 1926 My dearest Acondo,
I have the most dreadful of news. Yesterday at 12:06 a.m. the monster Dracula had be awoken by 5 young Satan-worshippers. The whole has been under the siege of darkness since. The world is becoming like it was before 1888. I know you are driven to destroy these creatures. That's why I am informing you. We don't want this to go as far as it did before, and I have faith you could destroy him. Hopefully you will come to our rescue.
Noroc! My dear,
Andreea
Dracula, the most powerful vampire in the world. Resurrected by a bunch of stupid teenagers. Acondo knew what she must do. Return to her homeland and rid them of this monster. It maybe the last thing she may do. She may fail as well and get herself killed, but she'll die with honour. I swear to God, she thought.
